That time we went to Lindisfarne but didn't really

Hi all ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;) ...

I've felt off for the past week and now I've came down with the flu so I thought 'I don't have anything else to do bar lie here... I may as well blog.' Since I'm almost bedridden (the woes of adult responsibilities dragging me out of bed occasionally) I thought I'd just write a blog about some things I've done fairly recently in the past couple months, rather than those kind of live updates. I might do a couple of these if I feel like it (^^)

So I entrusted my friend to plan a day out for us for once. I'm always the planner and it's been that way for the past decade of our friendship. He's the kind of person who'll ask you to hang out in a certain place then you'll get there and ask him what the plans are and he'll be like 'I don't know' lol

He really wanted to go to Lindisfarne. If you don't know what that is it's a holy island in the north east of England, which you can only get to at certain points of the day. You can probably guess that its not the greatest pick for someone who doesn't plan things. I kept asking him if he had checked all of the bus and islands accessibility times - he assured me he did.

He got some uno cards for the train which he shuffled horribly - I had pretty much every green card in order. This was his second shuffle, not much better lmao (˵>ᗜ<˵) !!

Aaaanywas, When we got to a place called Berwick-upon-tweed we soon realised that the only bus that goes to Lindisfarne does not even run that day lmao. I definitely gave him the 'I knew it' look ahaha (ᵕ—ᴗ—)(╥﹏╥)

So I ended up making the decision that we should just make the best of it and have a look around this town since we've never been there before. Its a quaint town with honestly, not much in it. It was a bit of a struggle to find stuff to do. However I was enjoying just looking around. They had this cool looking bridge and a nice river at least

I ended up finding a boat trip that takes you to go see dolphins and seals. The dolphins never showed up but there were a bunch of seals just peeking up from the sea. It was so fricken cute

On the way back It ended up raining pretty heavy and we got absolutely soaked. Not only that but it appeared that the rain cloud was only following the boat. It's a running joke that every time we hang out something goes wrong and this day was just further evidence. We walked back up the riverside and had a gander at these ruins. I believe there's a castle on the top of the hill somewhere? but we ended up not going to see it (っ◞‸◟ c)

Apparently eating chips solemnly on the stone wall was top priority in my friends mind >.<

So yeah! That was the time we nearly got to Lindisfarne but ended up just walking around in circles in this village. I think next time I'll be back in charge again heheh

in the U.K., it seems like just going to a place is automatically a wonderful activity...

Those were some really cute seals, though!!! Also, I totally understand why you'd want to eat chips up there. I'm with your friend on that one XD
