Oh December I love your blue shades in the sky, how the trees and the life around look peaceful in their gloominess. Cold lips dancing infront of warm bodies, bundles of clothes and hot chocolate, the cheap hot chocolate made from the 99 cent pouches your dad bought you because that's all we could afford. the bright lights on the same Christmas tree we've had for years, huddling by the open stove because the heat in our one bedroom apartment rarely worked for three bodies. while others listened to christmas music we sat by your small cd player listening to simple plans "welcome to my life". Being an adult now I still find time to listen to those songs we played, i still admire the cheap hot coco and the vibrant lights all over town. Oh how i love december.
