I had some poems written down in a little black journal of mine, which may or may not have been at the influence of a poetry unit in my English class ^^'.Ā
I really enjoyed my poems, so I'd like to share some of them with the people of SpaceHey! I'm open to any and all criticism to improve my writing no matter how much it'll hurt my soul :')
"Sunlight"Ā
Hear me, arise from the dark
Away from your bedroom where you rot
A place where no light shall dare to enter
Somewhere you are unable to flourish
Run outside and face the sun
Raise your hand up towards the sky
Feel the warmth of the sunlight
Seize the opportunity it brings
Take ahold of the light that shines above
And achieve a life to love
~~~
"The Passing of life"
Like a budding flower in Spring, Life blooms
Rising from the ground to become anew
To feel the passing breeze and gentle chirping of birds
But life comes and goes as does a flower
Sonn will come the day where the flower will wilt
Soon comes the day where leaves fall from trees
And the animals of the world hibernate
Life pauses as it starts to slowĀ
And eventually come to an end
But soon it will start again
~~~
"Rainfall"
The rain falls another day
Bringing forth its melancholy
The droplets becoming the tears in my eyes
Kept company by the cold wind
The clouds in the sky share with me their woesĀ
And I, too, carry their burdensĀ
Cursed with eternal sorrowĀ
Both the clouds and I cry
Sobs obscured by the downpourĀ
As the rain and my tears become one
~~~
"Morning Fog"
The rain has long gone, along with the nightĀ
The sun comes forth, bringing its delight
Yet obscured by the fog and mistĀ
Creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and blissĀ
Neither warm nor cold
Making my curiosity unfold
I stroll through the verdant grasslands
Surprisingly able to see my own hands
Feelings of disbelief as I can hardly believe my eyes
So sure yet not so that I have died
A place that's neither heaven nor hell
My heart surely feels unwell
Adorning a dress both black and white
Feelings of apprehension I can hardly fight
Cursed by the spell of the morning fog
