I love the alt community, but it has such a bad gatekeeping problem. People will call you a poser if u don’t dress alt, if u don’t listen to alt music all the time, if u don’t surround urself w alt ppl. It’s honestly tiring. I mean cmon what happened to what being alt rly ment? What about the politics or the genuine love for the subculture? What happened? Aren’t alt people supposed to be the comforting ones who tell you to be yourself? U guys gotta grow up, we all are posers.
