Entry #1 ★

Went to the movies today for the first time in a year (D: not rlly a movie theater person… I know…) I’ve already seen this movie before — probably around two or three times? — as my younger sibling really likes Daft Punk, but I’ve never really payed enough attention to it due to a lack of interest even though I enjoy some of their songs.

This movie has no dialogue, but the songs (especially the ones with lyrics, of course) did a very good job in making the viewer understand what was going on. Some scenes in the movie had very interesting callbacks (or call outs?) to the main characters previous lives which I really enjoyed, I’m a sucker for little references like that; and the animation is so beautiful — their facial expressions (along with the music as I said earlier) were the dialogue. The story was so interesting and a little sad, I wonder if they made it based on the album or had the idea before making the album? I’d have to ask my sibling laterrr. But yeah, this is definitely a movie that transcends language barriers!

If you ever get the chance to watch it and don’t mind the music then I’d totally recommend it :)

Once the movie ended we stayed pretty much for about 20 more minutes as there was some extra content (which I enjoyed but since I was starting to feel a little anxious all I kept thinking about was on how much I wanted to leave, plsss) Once we (finally) left we bought some iced coffee and chicken sandwiches. I kind of regret not getting the large cup for the coffee because it was crazy good and I feel like I finished it way too quickly <\3 but uhh yeah,, after that I made the big mistake of buying a sprite (I usually don’t drink sodas,,,) and my stomach sort of hurts now? but I’m low-key ignoring it, I don’t care (help) After all that I was a little tired so I just decided to come straight back home and rewatched a bit of SPVTW while I finished the rest of my food! It was a pretty fun day to be honest, I rarely go out so it feels nice to clear my head (?) n stuff :’)
