talking

Is it just me, but why is talking so hard? I realized that I come off as rude or dry when talking to people, even those that I like. I promise that I'm not bored, I'm just not sure how to talk. Plus, continuing a conversion seems so hard. When a topic ends, what should I say? Should I excuse myself? I'm not quite sure on how to make conversation without seeming off... perhaps that's a me problem.
