I find a lot of people ask why theirs won't show up, and I usually give the same answer every time, so I thought I'd just repeat myself in a blog so I can link to it effortlessly. Plus, if somebody's looking for an answer, this might help!
Be patient!!! There seems to be a new moderation queue on profile pictures, so they take a while to show up. Something changed recently so now you have to wait for it to show up later, but it seems to take half an hour at most.
Just wait for it to show up! It doesn't take long during active hours, it'll come up soon!

Reformatted an old edit here, it looked bad.
For profile pictures not appearing after a day has passed seems to be a cache issue on Chrome (and everything Chromium based. This includes Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, etc because they use the same browser engine). I main Firefox and didn't have issues, but after switching to a Chromium browser (i use Superium!), I had this issue today.
This is what worked for me:
(for Google Chrome / Chromium / Superium / Iron only)
1. Open Settings
2. Privacy and Security -> Delete browsing data
3. Uncheck "Browsing history" and "Cookies and other site data", check "Cached images and files"
4. Set Time range to "All-time"
5. Click "Delete data"
If you forget to uncheck Browsing history and Cookies, you might get logged out of your logged in sites. So don't forget to uncheck them!

Some people say clearing browser cache works, so if it's been a few hours and it's still not loading, try clearing it! Also heard something about it having to be a jpeg/gif/png? I'm not sure what's actually correct and what's just a rumor, but I do know they take a few hours to appear! A lot of people can't see theirs but I can see it, which is weird.
