This post blew up, and I know a tiny bit more since I first wrote it. I find a lot of people ask why theirs won't show up, and I usually give the same answer every time, so I thought I'd just repeat myself in a blog so I can link to it effortlessly. Plus, if somebody's looking for an answer, this might help!
There seems to be a new moderation queue on profile pictures, which takes about a couple of hours for new profile pictures to show up (sometimes just minutes), but anybody that uses anything made on Chromium (nearly all web browsers -- including Chrome, Opera, Brave, Arc I think and many more) might have issues where if they set a profile picture, you might not see it unless you clear your cache. If you use Firefox, you probably just need to wait a bit more. Y'all seem affected too, I turned off my cache so I wasn't entirely sure
There's also a lot of people coming to this thread to ask about their pfp. Yes, we can see it! Yours probably isn't showing because you need to clear your cache. If you know how to do it, I'll leave it to you.
For everybody else (a good portion of people), if you're using Chrome or any browser that isn't Firefox based (99% of browsers tbh), you will need to clear your image cache! If you are using a browser that is not Chrome, you will have to just google it.
If you use Chrome, this is what worked for me:
1. Open Settings (this should be easy... i think)
2. Privacy and Security -> Delete browsing data
3. Uncheck "Browsing history" and "Cookies and other site data", check "Cached images and files"
4. Set Time range to "All-time" (THIS IS IMPORTANT! DO NOT FORGET TO DO THIS!)
5. Click "Delete data"
Note that these instructions are for Google Chrome only. This includes Chromium (the web browser itself), Iron (russian spyware... lol!) and Supermium are all also affected
If you forget to uncheck "Browsing History" and "Cookies and other site data", you might get logged out of your logged in sites. So don't forget to uncheck them! Do not rush!

Anyway, I reformatted the entire post. There's a bit more information that I know about (that being Chrome has issues but Firefox seems fine), so I rewrote the post.

For profile pictures not appearing after a day has passed seems to be a cache issue on Chrome (and everything Chromium based. This includes Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, etc because they use the same browser engine). I main Firefox and didn't have issues, but after switching to a Chromium browser (i use Superium!), I had this issue today.

YES we can see your pfp! If it appears for others but not you, ofc try clearing cache, somebody here might know how to do that!
Kind of strange how it would still show an older cached image after being updated lmao.

GUYS! i use opera gx so idk how to fix thisss.. Does my pfp work though? (I am VERY new to this site)
I can see it!!! You can always look up how to clear your browsing history for Opera, it's almost the same thing (but you disable everything but cache), I just don't use anything but Supermium or Firefox (which is unaffected) so I can only give a Chrome tutorial :(
