Taylor Swift's 35th Birthday!!

December 13th, 2024

Hello!! I can't believe that Taylor turned 35 today! I love her so so much and I can't believe that she's been making music for almost half her life. 18 years!!! Since this is kind of short, I'm just going to tell you guys how I became a swiftie! So. back in 2006, my mom heard Tim McGraw on the radio and she fell in love with Taylor. So every time Taylor released a new album, my mom would ask for it for Christmas. So she got them every year for Christmas from Fearless (2008) to Reputation (2017). Then, when I was born (October 19th 2010) Speak Now had came out 6 days after I was born. So when my mom heard Never Grow Up, she would sing it to me (She told me that). So I grew up listening to Taylor because of my mom. Then, when I was in 5th grade back in 2021, I had heard Enchanted for the first time and I immediately fell in love with it. So almost every day in 5th grade, I would listen to an hour loop of it. I eventually listened to the whole Speak Now album and realized that Haunted was my favorite and it still is! So when Midnights was released, my mom got it for me and the next year around when Speak Now (Taylor's Version) was released, she got the albums we didn't have (Debut, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Red (Taylor's Version), Fearless (Taylor's Version), and Speak Now (Taylor's Version). I had also gone to The Eras Tour movie with my mom on October 13th. Then, when 1989 (Taylor's Version) was released, that's when I was starting to turn into a bigger swiftie. Then in 2024 when TTPD was released, I went on release day and got a few of the CD variants and the vinyl. Another Taylor thing I did was when I went to this concert type thing where other people were singing her songs. It was so much fun. (I also went to all of these things with my mom) Then, I went to this spa place probably like a week before Taylor came to Indy, and me and my mom got a Taylor Swift themed facial. Then, there was this Eras Tour pre-party thing happening at Victory Fields on the first night Taylor was there so we went to that. We only stayed there until around 5 and it ended at 7. We left because we wanted to go get merch. So we got to the merch line and we were in it for like 3 hours. I ended up getting the quarter zip, the cream t-shirt, and the tote bag and my mom got the white t-shirt with the eras in color. Once we were done getting merch, we walked around Lucas Oil to see if we could hear Taylor singing. We only heard a little bit of All Too Well (tmv) and more tickets dropped so my mom got in the queue and we never got tickets from Ticketmaster. But on the way home, we got sonic and it was so good. Also, before we left Downtown, I got my picture taken with Taylor on the Marriott. Then, on Saturday, me and my mom stayed home all day still trying to get tickets and still had no luck:( Then it was finally the very last day of the US leg. This was our only chance to see Taylor on The Eras Tour. Me and my mom went to this place in Downtown where they had Taylor Swift themed coffee. Then while we were there, my mom got tickets. She bought them off of Tick Pick for A LOT of money... But after we went, she said it was totally worth it. But that day and whole weekend was the best time of my life. When I look back at the pictures I took, it almost doesn't feel real. I can't believe I went to The Eras Tour. It still doesn't feel real to me even though it's been over a month (which is crazy) I still can't believe it. And as I was walking to get into the stadium, there were so many people still trying to get tickets and I honestly felt really bad. Especially for my friend Kenzie who wasn't able to go. She should have gotten the tickets that the little girl behind me had. Mainly because she wasn't singing or dancing at all. She was just standing there bored. That girl and her mom ended up leaving before the surprise songs and I just know that Kenzie would have actually loved it. Anyways... this is VERY long... so I think I'm gonna stop writing for now! But I'll try and write more tomorrow!! Bye!!
