Candy Claws
It is a bit on the nose for a band called "Candy Claws" to do a Christmas album isn't it? "Candy Claws", "Santa Claus"? This album is quite cozy break, this morning my power went out for quite a bit of time and the news was saying it was going to be for multiple days. Thankfully that wasn't true and I ended up getting power a few hours after that. This album is a nice comfort after that scare, "technically" a collaboration between the band Candy Claws and Firebreather, I say technically because Firebreather is just one of the band members, Hank Bertholf doing solo tracks. It's a nice cozy psychedelic hug on the Candy Claws tracks and the Firebreather tracks lean more into lush textures and has an almost surf-rocky sound on a track like Peppermint Delight. It's always nice to have a Christmas album full of original songs and not the same covers. Definitely coming back to this one.

100 gecs
Who am I except for someone who gladly dickride 100 gecs any point they get, one of the most unique bands I've ever listened to, Laura and Dylan is one of the best collaborated minds when it comes to the 21st century and I mean that in total sincerity, the modern John and Paul. Enough about 100 gecs in general though, this single is a ska punk leaning track in the likeness of Stupid Horse, I Got My Tooth Removed, and Frog on the Floor. I'm not as big on the ska punk leaning tracks but this is still insanely fun regardless, fun idea for a song, getting pissed and stealing Santa's bag because you never got anything. It hits the Christmas sounding quota good with the sleigh bells. I've probably listened to this track more than any other Christmas song around this time, sorry not sorry.
