First blog entry/test for when I style my profile layout.
I'm usually not much into fashion, and I don't really like buying clothes for myself but lately I've been getting more into it. Anyway,
where the fuck do you buy a shirt like this?
Like seriously, I've been wanting this kind of Futaba Sakura looking ass shirt for literal years. I remember there was a chance in school once to use school sewing machines and I tried to make this exact shirt with the school's design teachers except I only had an hour and all I ever did was cut up the sleeves of some old shirt I had.
I basically just ruined the shirt for no reason lol. Didn't even sew a single thing. I think the scraps are still in my room somewhere, assuming my parents didn't throw it out already.
I found the shirt from above on H and M, except it's sold out which is lovely. Do they ever restock things in shitty fast fashion stores like that? Seems like every time I enter all the stock is different.
On a completely different note, where the fuck do you buy those wallet chains/trousers chains people attach their belt loops? I always thought those looked cool and have also been trying to find them for ages but have had no luck. Maybe my clothing shops are just barren? Maybe it's because I don't go outside often enough.
Anyway...
I'm usually not one to care about whether things are in fashion or not, but honestly I thought chains like that were dead so I was gonna give up my search. That was until recently I saw my older brother wearing a pair of trousers with a chain on them. This is big, because years ago I told my older siblings about buying a chain and they were all like "
woah EDGY!!!! You wanna look like a Kingdom Hearts character???? You're gonna think that's stupid in like... 5 years time.
" Well guess what, it's been 5 years and I still want the damn chain.GIVE ME THE DAMN CHAIN.
Idk man, maybe it's dumb but I just like the jingly jangly sound it makes. I have the urge to sound like the Reaper whenever I enter a room.

We all know this shit aint holding no wallet, just saying.
Anyway, feel free to comment on how basic my fashion sense is or whatever fashion people say. I don't really care. I wear a plain coloured t-shirt and jeans most days.
(Oh yeah, H and M also used to sell trousers chains apparently, but thats also sold out. Why do I always find things when it's too late.)

I've been hoping to get a shirt like that for a while now, too! I used to have one as a kid that had a design embroidered on the front and ever since I grew out of it I've wanted another one. What I've resorted to is buying a striped dress and cutting it to shirt-length. I hemmed the bottom, but I also have to do the same to the collar since I had to remove the lining (it was too itchy), so, it's been a work in progress. I just found out a few days ago that the website I bought it from is now selling black and white striped shirts, so, I should have probably just waited. Oh well :P
Also, I've bought several wallet chains off Amazon for a costume I assembled a while ago. I ended up putting some large gears on them and clipping them to a long coat I got. If you don't want to order from Amazon, but don't mind shopping online, I'd suggest looking up lists of alt-fashion websites. Ones that sell jewelry and accessories would probably carry them!
I'm glad I'm alone in my fashion woes hahaa. I'm very lucky that most of my clothes from my early teen years fit me, but sometimes I do find things I used to wear as a kid that are absolute fire but don't fit me anymore. It's the worst aghhh. Also, bad luck with the shirt thing, but I guess since you put in more effort it'll be more rewarding when you finish it! I'd try to make the shirt myself again but I don't own a sewing machine and I'm not in school anymore, so I can't use the school's sewing machines.
I'd like to avoid Amazon if I can, although if I don't find anything I might just resort to it. I've never ordered any sort of clothing item from Amazon before so I'm kind of curious about the quality XD, but since it's just a chain it'll probably be fine. I'll definitely take your suggestion about looking up alt-fashion websites though! Thanks for commenting ^^

I definitely suggest learning to sew with a needle and thread! It does take a LOT longer than using a sewing machine, but it's way cheaper (and takes up less space lol). That's what I usually do, but this shirt is honestly the most time-consuming project I've worked on this way.
Also, I have bought clothing from Amazon a few times. it's kind of a 50/50 on if you'll get something good or not. Some of my favorite pieces are from Amazon, and some of the worst clothes I've ever touched were also from there lol. Price is also not always a good indicator of quality, as I once got a shirt that felt like thin costume material for around $40 ^^;
You probably should be good if you resort to it for wallet chains, though! The ones I got I had to use really heavy-duty pliers to bend the chain links even slightly. Not sure if they carry any that are really fancy, though. If you're looking for something more than just a chain then going someplace else would probably be your best bet.
