!! Baldur's Gate 3 REVIEW !! (spoiler free)

Welcome to my first review! Decided to start posting more here just for fun so I hope you enjoy :3

If you don't know what Baldur's Gate 3 is party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons (if you don't know what dungeons & dragons is I suggest you go do some research).

Essentially your character gets kidnapped by mind flayers (an alien race) with the purpose of infecting you, and a lot others, with tadpoles in order to control you and reproduce. Your main goal within the game is to find a cure, which unfortunately ends up being a lot more complicated... but at least you meet lots of companions to keep you company, if you so choose of course :)

This was my first time having the d&d experience and I never thought I would love it this much! At first I wasn't so sure about the turn-based combat, but after playing for a few hours I just can't imagine the game's combat to be built in any other way.. it just wouldn't make sense. If that's a deal braker for you, maybe this isn't your game :(

The plot is just amazing! The way so much of your dialogue is dependent on passing checks and changes based on your race, class and even subclass, is so diverse and intriguing and it just makes you wanna play more. A great thing tied to that as well is the game never gets old. I've done 10+ campaigns with 6 being fully complete, and there's still so much I wanna try and see! The romance is also really good :D

Now when it comes to character creation, I truly love the d&d class and stats system BUT the appearance options are a bit lacking.. in a weird way. I think it should've had a lot more face options, but I'm not super mad about the rest. I did have to add some cosmetic mods after a couple playthroughs and after I did that, the game became practically perfection!

A little tied to character creation there's also the armor and camp clothes situation, which I absolutely love! It's great how you can change their colors with paints (which you're abale to get by looting and buying from vendors). The armors in the game tend to be very beautiful especially as you go further along the game, which cannot be said when it comes to camp clothes.. you'll only get better looking camp clothes once you get to act 3, or if you steal from your companions. Personally, I have mods for these things as well :3

Overall I think the game is beautiful and so full of possibilites! It has become my favorite game as of today, and I'll forever recommend it!
