Sleeping Beauty is underrated

I just watched Sleeping Beauty again and I realized how little people appreciated it and because I think it would lay many foundations for future Disney films.

These are my arguments why it is a better film than we remember:

-Aurora, although she is guilty of having little time, the dialogues, literally fall asleep during the last act of the movie, and she considers it a throwback to Cinderella. Surprisingly, Aurora could be considered Disney's first rebellious princess as she is clearly upset to learn that her peasant life has been a lie and that she is engaged to a man she (supposedly) doesn't know. It is understandable that he is sad and there is something admirable about going to the kingdom of his parents and the castle where he was born, something that in my opinion deserves courage.

-Phillip is literally the first prince to have a Disney personality. The princes of Snow White and Cinderella are practically ATMs with legs, without name or personality, who are there as instruments for the heroes to reach their happy ending. Phillip, for his part, although the later princes have more personality, is represented as a happy and lively boy, who likes to joke with his horse and who wants to marry for love even if it is with a commoner (his phrase "This is the fourteenth century!” is one of the best Disney phrases of yesteryear)

-The three good fairies are some of the best helpers in all of Disney and I would even say that the movie is more about them, since it is basically them helping a prince rescue his adopted daughter. It also stands out a lot to me because of how they are strange older heroines in a story.

-I can't complain about Maleficent, she is literally an old-fashioned fairy, being portrayed as an evil and mean figure (although the Live-Action tried to give her a more sympathetic image and backstory).

-In fact, you could say that the movie is driven by the women in it, literally only Phillip succeeds when he gets help from the fairies.
