(this is about my crush, who is my friend. it is one-sided. they know i have feelings for them)

(i'm not a poetic genius, but this is how i like to express the way i feel. so enjoy)

you lay there beside me, 

cozied up and so snuggly.

i wish i could hold you and tell you i love you,

that you're so beautiful;

so precious.

i wish i could find the ways to show you just how i feel.

that my clumsiness,

silence, and

awkwardness is not me.

i'm scared to go further,

for fear of sinking deeper,

yet i grab at the branches and plunge down regardless.

you are someone i cant seem to get enough of,

yet you do noy feel the same so i shouldn't bother.

i try to keep my hopes up,

the waiting game of 'surely you must come around...'

but i feel i dream too much, 

yet you're the best dream i have ever had the pleasure to experience.

may you rip at my heart strings,

but i'll love you forever,

and the friendship that i've been handed to by you,

even if it will never bloom much more.
