i hate arcane, i hate the reworked viktor, i hate riot in general.

getting this off my chest

i've watched arcane, both s1 and s2. it's an amazing series, i both love it and hate it. but then hate would be such a strong word for arcane, let's just say i don't like it. well, not arcane itself but how riot made it canon. the arcane storyline is amazing as it is in an alternate universe completely different from the canon league of legends lore, but for riot to make arcane canon is so shit.

with hextech/hexcore now being evil, what will happen to camille now? seraphine? orianna?? will their lore be rewritten too? what about piltover in general?

don't get me started with viktor...

see old viktor was amazing, his lore was practically finished and imo perfect as a machine herald so why the need to change it? yes his model is old but they could've just given him a newer model and updated the splash arts. why cant they just sell the arcane viktor as an ultimate skin like they did with every other champs in the show?

the problem is, arcane fans. yes i have some beef with some. what i hate about them is that they're the ones who are very vocal about the whole viktor rework, esp on TikTok where they praise the new rework changes and basically shit on viktors old model and lore. why do i hate them you ask? because most of them don't even play the damn game, THEY DON'T EVEN PLAY VIKTOR? how is their opinion much more valid than the actual viktor mains. not to mention, some of these arcane fans pick up the game only to play 2 or 3 times then drop it, then think the opinions they have are much more valuable over the players that have dropped thousands of hours playing this game.

they only know viktor from arcane, and the only thing they care about the rework is how much he resembles the show and that's supposed to be good. they're praising the new rework for having a cunty walk and twinkified body and i'm getting a headache. don't think i've forgotten about JayVik shippers because i'm tired of it too, don't even dare think of saying that jayce and viktor are canonically not lovers because they will scream at you and call you homophobic. its like the deep lore of these two characters went over their heads in favor of the ship.

i used to pray riot would release a show revolving around league lore, but now i wish i hadn't because i unfortunately forgot the shit it can attract sometimes.
