My daughter's surgery

My oldest daughter is due to have surgery on Thursday. She and I are very concerned because this is her second surgery for the same thing. It should have been fixed the first time like the doctor said it would be. So she contacted UPMC for a second opinion, it took what seemed like forever to hear back from them. Finally today, she heard back from a nurse from there and she has an appointment to see their Chiari specialist tomorrow morning! Talk about cutting it close! We are going to find out if this second surgery is a good idea and if it's going to help her. She is going to need surgery no matter what, but is there something a chiari specialist can do differently to help her vs a neurosurgeon? I hate seeing my daughter suffer, I hope and pray that someone can fix her.
