So I guess Facebook decided to take down their ultra light web version of the site called mbasic.facebook.com.😞
I have been using this for many years to directly download Facebook videos easily while viewing the video's ditect link. There is no other way of downloading Facebook videos that I know of currently?
I decided to make this s public blog post instead of a bulletin so that we can post some alternatives or downloading options if we discover any.

There's a browser add-on called video downloadhelper. I haven't used it in years but it might work for that?
The thing for me though is that those Chrome extentions don't work on my stripped down version of Chrome that I have to use on my Kindlefire tablet. I rarely use my laptop anymore.
I guess Kindlefire tablets use costomized versions of apps which we install via apk files because Kindle tablets are running a modified version of Android.
