MySpace is kinda useful?

Now let me get this straight, it is in NO WAY better to SpaceHey (plz don't shoot me An plz plz). The blogs are still ass, the user interface is still ass, everything sucks compared to how it used to be. (That isn't even reminiscent bias, the modern MySpace layout is genuinely terrible.) HOWEVER,, there is so much underground music from the early 2000's on there it's insane.

I've seen a lot of people on here looking for more alternative music, I think MySpace serves this purpose well. It's also pretty neat to put accounts on the internet archive and see what they looked like originally. I'm glad they kept the music feature, despite purging more than half of the accounts. This could be the reason why MySpace is still around, but I wouldn't know. (Apparently the ability to upload media has only recently been re-implemented, hooray...) At least they kept a piece of nostalgia for us to look at. I don't think there's a single music account on there that's been updated post-2015.

Hopefully SpaceHey will get popular enough to implement something like MySpace music as well,  I just hope it doesn't become their prioritization. I wanna see someone produce some God-awful music that gets stupidly popular on here and go to underground concerts near me because ya boy lives in texas and I refuse to get my ass killed in Houston bcuz everyone who isn't a rootin tootin cowboy is too afraid of losing money to play anywhere less popular. Like c'mon, why the hell did brokeNCYDE of all groups have the balls to play in a screwed up place like St. Louis in the late 00's and barely anyone else?

(Obligatory) This sounds like a rant but I'm just passionate about this stuff as pointless as it is. I know there's sites like bandcamp and soundcloud (and youtube lol) but they don't feel the same. I'm merely upset that I never got to fully experience a time of the internet I would've adored. But hey, isn't that what revival projects like this are for? ;]

b4 anyone says it... I know brokeNCYDE isn't underground (in the case of MySpace music artists). This band has done irredeemable damage to my brain and I have to get it out somehow.

If you're looking for such, how about Scotty Vanity? (No, he's not related to you-know-who.) I only found about him because of this video. <- I highly recommend checking out their channel if you're into old alternative web stuff! ^^

Also, a little hunt! Guess who I stole the background image of this layout from on MySpace! You'll be rewarded with an internet cookie image of Kakashi from Naruto giving you a thumbs up.
