gemini rights by steve lacy is one of my favorite albums ever made, it’s truly incredible, the whole album feels kinda like moving on from a dead relationship, quite bittersweet

my favorite track from this is probably helmet or static, both are incredible songs, though static is a bit sadder of course

i love mercury too, it kinda reminds me of salsa in a way

like his past albums, i see a bit of prince influence in these works, but his style does differ from prince’s

i consider this album to be steve lacy’s best work yet, and i’m excited to see what comes next for him!
