helloooo and welcome to my blog!!! pls excuse my over the top layout,, ive got a thing for it. it should look more exciting really for the amount of work i put into it but i love the beige n white n green colour scheme (which real ones who have seen my profile know already LMAOO) so its white bg black text. wgaf really
anyways.....................
a couple weeks back i bought a nokia e71 off of ebay for Β£20 and its officially become the loml <3 its in really good shape for what i paid and works exactly as i hoped it would!! i thought there's no better community than this to show it off in,, so here it is :D
my photos are a bit shit but if you came here thinking im taking ultra high quality photos on a really fancy camera or smartphone or smth then i think ur in the wrong place or at least need to seriously re-evaluate. all taken on my polaroid iG127 digital camera which you can see in reflections throughout these photos
the front and back!!! just realised that you can see the ghost of alison by slowdive on the front LMAOO ig i didnt wait for the screen to fully turn off before i took the pic bless. i put a couple of stickers on the back n theyre quite cute actually,, i wasnt sure at first but i like them
oh and for anyone curious about the charms:

1. powering on,, makes the little sound if its not on silent (its always on silent lol)
2. all about lily chou-chou welcome screen ofcofc
3. home screen!! you can set it to either have apps on it or the simple vers,, i went for the simple. the wallpaperis an image off pinterest because i cba to move over another one + it looks cool so wgaf
1. the menu screen - all of these are folders apart from web. can make powerpoints n shit on it which is crazy because they always glitch the fuck out on modern smartphones so you know. regressing n all that idk
2. the web browser cant do https websites only http which is fairly limiting in todays internet. google still lets me use it w just http tho and it looks so cute on there i almost forgor to be mad at google. anyways,, theres one extremely helpful http website because that page let me download...
3. opera mini!!! was able to install this as an alternative web browser,, letting me open https webistes. well the ones that dont hit me w the "sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyy your broswer is unsupported :((((((((". and that means on it i can access everyone's fav website....
SPACEHEY.COM!!!!!! posted a few bulletins n comments from here LOLL its so fun. i have to enter fullscreen typing mode for caps which is odd but not too inconvenient
the most important part of any phone is of course the music n i got an sd card for this bad boy specifically for mp3s πππ i have 103 songs on there rn but always growing my collection. im a repeater anyways so i only need about 3 songs at any one time LMAO (airbuds mutuals can vouch)
souvlaki - slowdive is the album i put on most recently,,, and disintegration - the cure was the one i put on first <3 i downloaded both off of internet archive. have you guys seen the amount of podcasts by fundamentalists of the abrahamic faiths on that website its incredible. sorry that was so off topic
****disclaimer before this part,, i am in no way an expert so take everything i say here w a massive pinch of salt*****
i love looking at the progression of cell phones in particular when looking at how technology avaliable to consumers has developed in recent history because i think they are so personal, designed to be carried with you, a small handheld tool. the way they have simultaneously progressed and regressed. the experimental models released in all kinds of fabulous shapes and sizes 15-20 years ago vs the monotony of smartphones now. their increasing signifcance in our lives, whether you like it or not. a microcosm for the relationship between people and computers that i find soso fascinating
ive wanted a member of the nokia e-series family for a while. i still really want an e61 because i think they look beautiful,, but this one is probably more practical so its for the best i got hold of this one first. i think quite a few members of the e-series range represent peak mobile phone production for me - smart enough to do what i need, with all the external features i want that are absent from modern phones e.g. sd card, headphone jack, physical qwerty keyboard.
i may have to use a different phone as my edc soon through because the last network in the uk (where i live, thats why its relevant) still running 3G is "switching it off" in early 2025. perhaps it will run okay on 2G, maybe not, i will find out. either way i will enjoy these few months with this phone while i still have 3G!! im trying to get hold of a blackberry q10 as a just-in-case,, if you have any other reccomendations of 4G candybar phones please feel free to share them

omggggg i used to have the same phone but in white! it was my first phone when i was like 8 or 9 years old. sadly overtime it got broken and i didn't really had the chance to get it fixed since i switched to touch screen phones right after that but i had so much fun having it as my phone. i'm taking this as a sign to find and buy myself one again^^<3

Definitely one of my favorite Nokia phones. I'm a sucker for the BlackBerry phone format. As for the 3G shenanigans, I think your phone will work fine on 2G! I use a Motorola MPx200 on my country's 2G network, because 3G is gone here already, and it works fine! And I believe the UK is still heavily-reliant on their 2G networks, so I think you'll be good for a few more years. :]
