There are a many profiles where people put "Please send me a message" or things like that. I'm always scared of messaging someone, I feel like I would appear as a creep sending IM to random people I don't know. Plus I know I would feel so bad if they don't answer or send a message without trying to chat back. Like I see so many cool profiles, of people I would love to get to know a bit. I want to talk about the music they like, the food they fancy, how's life in their country, etc. Even with people who are in my friend space with whom I at least exchanged some words before, I'm too scared to reach out to them to chat.
So here's my question to the people of Spacehey : do you like it when randos send you messages to chat ? Or do you think of them as creeps ?

if someone doesnt like random ppl sending them messages, theres an option to turn off IMs or only allow IMs from friends
people are waaayyy too obsessed with like. the twitter way of things these days. seriously. growing up with modern social media has made kids/teens these days so socially inept, it's sad (I DO NOT SAY THIS IN A RUDE WAY! its just so sad to me)
just message someone if you want to. thats how we used to do it back in the day, and that's how we made friends. there were no statuses to like. you had to comment/message to make connections with people. you know, actually talk. communicate. not just give a thumbs up when they say something funny
if people think youre creepy just for sending a message to say hi then that's a them problem. they probably have some shit to work thru LOL
