[RANT] When did being so cruel become so normalized?

“Treat others how you want to be treated”, a quote that literally NO ONE follows.

I have been nothing but kind to everyone around me, and all I got back in return was a whole package of teasing, bullying and backstabbing. Hell..I got bullied for anything and everything, for simply just existing. Whenever I went and complained, the bullies would just hide it by saying, “oh we’re just goofin around!” and the teachers did not give two sh!ts.

I just wanted to get along with people man..didnt ask for all of this :(

AND let me tell you, I am the type of person who cannot stand up for themselves if their life DEPENDED on it…so you can imagine the absolute hell i went through when I was young lol.

Itz gotten to a point where I am told to literally CHANGE myself, change the way I act and respond (aka respond more rude or dry), in order for people to back off, but even THEN people may still continue to bully me. Might I add, I also have to constantly be catious that the person in front of me is not pretending to be my friend only to betray me in the next four seconds. Now I get that there’s nothing wrong with being careful or standing up for yourself like…you go girl!! Or guy..whatever works lol. It just bothers me that we have to teach ourselves to act more unnatural just to survive in this world. This is ALSO gonna reach a point where the line between standing up for yourself and simply being rude will become so blurred that you’ll end up BECOMING one of the bullies. It’z giving “hurt people hurt people” typ sh!t :,)

I cannot believe we’re living in a world where being a b!tch is praised. It is so hard to find a nice person in this hell-hole. Actually thank god there are kind people in here to begin with.

Sadly, you can’t change the fact that there are still gonna be sh!tty people out there. Only thing I can do right now is pray to my lord that my friend of 5+ years won’t randomly stab in the back! :D
