yo does anyone know a song that isn't really sad, but when it is put in the context of a scene from a movie\show it makes you tear up. for example, for anyone who has seen cyberpunk edge-runners listening to "i really want to stay at your house" it seems like a somewhat normal song, buuuuut when you listen to it on the last episode, in that context it becomes a sad song
so anyone know something like that

That's a good thing to think about. I don't have any movie specific examples except for maybe Feel the Light from forgotten animated movie home from like 2015? But that probably doesn't count, so I hope you don't mind me being general :D
I can't think of a song that's exactly what you're thinking of, but the closest I can think of is FEX's Subways Of Your Mind, which ended up being the internet's "most mysterious song", as found out back in November. In normal contexts, it just seems like an ordinary 80s song that people just didn't know the name of.
But to many people, the song had some serious meaning. It was featured in the huge emotional trip that was Doom's very own myhouse.wad, which if you don't know what TMS and my house have to do with eachother... Maybe go back and finish the mod and save yourself some spoilers.
Not to mention, there's many stories of this one, little song being the one thing helping people through a lot of things! Even myself, I've been listening to it a lot in the last half of this year and it's pleasent to hear it every once and a while, and yes, sometimes sad. Because that's what people decided, I guess.
There's also the many songs people used to be upset back in the day like Linkin Park's "What I've Done", Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life", and sure maybe in some cases, a song like "In The End" or even "Numb". Those are all popular examples, I think. And it works!
