rest in peace to bob bryar (and a small rant)

i hate how the internet is so okay with mocking people's death. the second liam payne's death was announced, a ton of people were making fun of it. and now it's the same for bob bryar. 

everyone knows that he wasn't exactly a saint, but there's still people out there who are mourning him. going on social media to mock someone knowing that their family and friends could see it is disgusting. i haven't exactly liked bob for the things he said in the past, but that doesn't give me the right to make jokes and be disrespectful. its so disheartening to see because, honestly, no one from mcr would want this. frank's statement was so heartfelt and it's clear that this has affected him so give time people to mourn. saying stuff like 'rest in piss' and saying that he's going to hell doesn't help anything or anyone. 

however, i've also seen people say 'rest in power' and i'm not sure if they're joking or being serious. 'rest in power' is almost exclusively used for black and lgbtq+ communities to mourn those who lost their lives as a result of (or have suffered because of) issues like homophobia, transphobia or racism. so saying this about a white, straight, cis man who has publicly been homophobic and racist... its inappropriate.

in short, you don't have to act like bob was a great person. you can enjoy what he did for mcr while still not liking his actions. and a simple 'rest in peace' is all you need. 

don't crack jokes.

don't be an idiot.
