December 5th [ 24.12.06 ]

Tis I,, not super much has happened but I figure I should keep this going regardless. I got a few upcoming things, a forest preserve volunteer day, I'm going to be hanging out with a friend in an hour n'a half, and only two weeks of school left. During the break I'm planning on having a friend sleep over at mine. It's been a long while since I've seen it in person, so I'm quite excitied.

 In addition to the upcoming workday, I have a friend who'll likely be joining me. It's only recently that we got passed the school friend type stage but she's such a sweet person. We would talk during the classes we had together: algebra and gym. I've known her for bout a year now? She's also interested in volunteer work and asked if she could join me. I'm never one to turn down company, so I said yes obviously. I was nervous about agreeing as it's definetly going to be a bit of a drive for her, but she said it was alright.

Though I'm starting to get the feeling she doesn't just like me platonically. Bit worried about that, and I don't mean to sound self inflated or anything. She's started getting a bit more firendly, more compliements and asking about me, commenting on what I wear. I ain't gonna say anything but I really hope it's just platonic. I'm aroace spec and don't see her that way at all. I'd hate to have to turn her down and have things get awkard. Idk, hope and pray it's nothing.

Now, Magic the gathering. So fun, I'm pretty shitty at it but I'm there for a fun time not a competitive one. I'm mediocre/average at most things, and that's normal and alright. If I enjoy it who's to say I gotta be good at it too? Last night I spent two hours in a singular game, It was like 10pm by the time I got off! I distinctly remember my 7:30pm alarm going off while playing. Insane, I got pretty damn close to winning, however I didn't have any card that could destroy this one enchantment card that meant I couldn't deal any dmg. So fucked up ! It had started as a four person game but dwindled down to just me and one other dude. I'll play another round tonight once I get home.

Other than MGT I'm getting back into needlepoint! I ADORE it, time consuming and predictable with just enough of a challange to keep me engaged. I've made a lotta decent progress on my current canvas. Not actually much in comparison with how much there is to do, but enough to where you can really tell a difference. I love the way it feels, so fun just to run my fingers over the texture. Doubt I'll finish it in time for christmas though. It's a stocking, that classic red christmas plant with a white horse head. I really loved my original stocking but it's got the wrong name on it. I look so different from when it was in use, I don't think anyone would guess it's mine now.
