november ’24 stats

it’s been a while since i’ve done a month retrospect (exactly a year, i think). they sort of fizzled out since not much really happens in my life, and so i would’ve just written the same things over and over again… but i’ve been feeling unusually chatty, so why not share a quick overview of what’s happened~? 

i finished most of my college app stuff, so now i can breathe easy and hope to end the year smoothly. the stress was making it hard for me to focus on other things, so hopefully things will be better…

i went out with a friend one saturday and had a great time. we walked around a mall and ate some good food. she got me an old kat-tun magazine as a gift, and i almost screamed when i saw it!!! i must get her an even more amazing gift soon... >:0

bought an external disc drive for my laptop, so now i can listen to all my cds and watch dvds while studying and whatnot, which has been fun so far. especially had a great time watching a bunch of gokusen ii and listening to paramore while working on essays, hehe. 

made my outside blog public, which was a lot more nerve-wracking than it should’ve been. but it does mean a lot to me, and i love maintaining it and writing in it, so i guess it shouldn't really be too surprising to feel such a way...?

some songs i had on repeat:

• for the best by gregory and the hawk: yearning, unfortunately..........................
• top 10 statues that cried blood by bring me the horizon: inspirational, at least to me. cathartic as i stress about my future.
• birthday gallery by daphne loves derby: this song reminds me of a rainy night, staying inside with low lights. introspective, looking through old photos and journals, considering old memories. your life, and the people within it. something’s off, but…
• throwing punches by paramore: went back down the b-side rabbit hole, sorta explained in my last blog. stumbled across this one and couldn’t stop listening. i’ve always loved paramore’s more subdued songs— i think they really allow the lyrics and hayley’s voice to shine.
• murasaki by jin akanishi: bcuz of course i did!!!!! spent a lot of time on my blog and checking out the changes i made here and there.

• was supposed to be my December layout, but i changed my mind.

i then coded my current layout— cybersphere— over the final weekend. i missed my minidiscs layout, but didn't want to go back to it quite yet... gifs took longer than i expected, but they exist!!! and it was fun to learn how. still trying to figure out a good song, but i think this one works for now…? we'll see.
