fuck it, new site to braindump on

ive braindumped on tumblr before about music progress and reflection and shit, but this seems like a better website for that kind of thing. so fuck it. idc if nobody's reading this now bcuz somebody will someday and theyll find it at least kind of interesting.

uhhh i have a lot of an album done. its called above the water and the album art is currently my pfp on this site. i have spent over a year at this point wishing i had more motivation, and generally lacking direction. ive had bursts, but i find it hard to begin. im going to change that. hopefully in the next several weeks i can finish this damn thing. my ideas are ambitious in a way that makes it possible that i might not hit the deadlines in mind, but in spite of the voices in my brain telling me to spend all my time on short-term appreciation, im going to get to work.

i dont just want to work on this album, though. i want to start working on my other musical projects, i want to write and animate and va, i want to hone in on various skills. i also want to be patient. but i also want to not piss myself when i think about following through, and not living up to my expectations. i also want to sidestep my humanity but god damn being conscious is kind of worth it.

anyways, i plan on being more interesting and hopefully more open in the coming years. im not really in any "scene" outside of having friends who do music who i sometimes work with, and im not historically great at making connections, and my music isnt exactly accessible, but i hope that i can make a bit more of a name for myself. not a big name tho, that sounds scary.


i might use spacehey to blog about progress if i feel like it, we will see lol. given this feels like an introductory post ill mention that the best way i can think of to describe this album is post-rock that's often very sound collage-y. idk if everyone will agree with that description but that's the best thing i can think of.
