Playing PHOENIX WRIGHT: ACE ATTORNEY

Hi!! I'll use this blog to post my thoughts and opinions as i play the game! I'll update after i finish an episode^^ Because this is me replaying the game, while i comment on each episode i will occassionaly reference things and events that the player discovers much forward, so spoilers ahead!

Ep. 1 - The First Turnabout

Score: ★★★☆☆

Now!!! i want to give it actually 3.5 but i cant find a half full star hahahha

I'm only giving this score because its a tutorial case, so it wasnt like. Suuuuper interesting and crazy to solve, also because the intro video literally shows u who did it (and who Sawhit... get it .. hehe). Buuuut i do think it is a pretty good case for a tutorial! Despite the player knowing who committed the murder i think adding the clock feature to the murder weapon and solving the issue of the time of the murder was interesting to spice things up!! 

There isn't much else for me to say specifically about the case because again it was a very easy straight forawrd one, there wasnt obvs any big plot twist nor was the crime committed in a very unusual and intricate way. But the player doesnt need to wait much for all that: i'd say solving the first episode is as easy as drinking a cup of water, while the second one feels like im trying to walk on hot lava in comparison hehehehhe (there are more idfficult cases in the game but the difficulty change between the first and second episode is pretty big imo)

Also in this case we see Larry when he wasnt a weirdo yet,, just a loser who loves women and is very dramatic ｏ(＞＜；)○ i loveeeee how his first dialogue is literally him saying that he wants to die and to give him the death penalty because his gf is dead and he cant live without her  ꉂ(≧▽≦)

Overall i enjoyed this case a sufficient amount, dont Looooove it, but i dont dislike it either! i sufficiently enjoy it for its purpose huehehe

Only way i could give this case a higher score is if Mia had more lines.... my sweetheart... shes so perfect.,, UGHHHHH i still remember the first time i played when i saw Phoenix last dialogue "And my promise to tell the chief about me and Larry... ...would be one promise that I wouldn't be able to keep." GODDDD...

Ep. 2 - The First Turnabout

Score: ★★★★☆

Sidenote - i am obsessed with the cover art for this case UGH its so pretty

Just like the previous case, the player knows right from the beginning who committed the murder and how it was done, so there isn't a plot twist in that sense. However this doesn't stop the case from being, imo, one of the best stories of the whole game - well actually one of the best "introductions" of the game!

This is the case that gives the player all the initial info about the bigger plot that lies underneath each episode and i think it's one hell of an introduction! 

We discover about the dl-6 incident and the people behind the tragedy that follows the Fey Sisters, and although we don't see Redd White anymore (not even mentioned in the other games - i have another lot to say baout this choice. i will refrain myself.) he is a character that i just cant ever forget, truly a great villain!! 

The investigation part was very fun, I especially liked the aprt at the Gatewater Hotel with April May and the Bellboy hihihi - Phoenix blushing profusely when talking to April and thinking that the Bellboy was a complete nutjob made me laugh hahah

The trial in itself was pretty easy: as i mentioned before, we already know who's guilty and how there really isnt much discovery to be made (why i didn't give it a full score) BUUUTTT i liked the dialogues!!

I think this is a case that when u play it again and again u notice more and mroe hints and details to events/info that happen wayyyyyyyyy later in the series so it has that charm to it that make it unforgettable yk? 

I wish that there was some more Mia though,, just a teeny tiny bit more of dialogue.. remove some lines from Mr. Grossberg (Bastard .) and give them to Mia !!
