girl the restaurant I went to with my parents and their friends tonight had an ai generated paper placemat:(Like u could tell bc of the messed up numbers, weird colouring and the weird random distorted mess ups.its so scary bc im from a small town.I hate how ai is becoming more common.Imagine trying to explain to an artist from the 1800’s that ur art competition is a machine that feels nothing and only purpose is intelligence.Like that’s just crazy.It’s so stupid how businesses would rather pay a machine than an artist.

Dude fr, its so disheartening. Dot Dot Curve put out AI slop merch recently and bruh... you have so much money just hire an artist???? and they're trying to deny it too :/ Sometimes its the most meaningless stuff people use it for, like even my school is using ai pictures of our mascot and I just look at it and go "you couldn't have done that yourself?? its literally the most simple thing ever?????? and the amount of "photographers" who post AI images... THE WHOLE POINT OF PHOTOGRAPHY IS GOING OUT AND FINDING THINGS TO TAKE PICTURES OF

also coca colas ad, the whole thing was ai, and that's TERRIFYING because in the future people might be able to advertise stuff that ISNT REAL like we saw it with the crystal mugs and stuff, super dystopian
the only thing that scares me about as much as ai is the people that don't find the increasing inability to discern real from fake scary. like dude its already happening but in a few years? maybe even a year? how advanced will the ai be then? not to mention gen alpha who will grow up in an ai infested world- i don't even want to think about how that's going to affect their development and ability to function as a normal human being cuz like why learn when ai will learn for you, right?

so true dude.also it’s so scary how the AI detectors barely work now:(how are young kids gonna learn to do things by themselves when there’s AI that can now do it for them without being noticed-_-

the ai detectors are ai themselves and everything ever written and drawn is stolen by these algorithms, so the only thing you can rely on is your eyes... but the ai is only advancing so before long it'll be impossible. just a year ago videos of people eating spaghetti looked like crap and now they're super realistic with only a few flaws. and its only going to get worse from here because everything will be flooded with ai and new sources will be questionable.
growing up we cheated on assignments by googling, using calculators etc- which at the very least taught us how to gather information and how to do the equations ourselves, but these kids will grow up with ai to do even that for them. they probably wont be able to do anything because they'll essentially be coddled by ai- in school and in home life. Ipad kids to the extreme. i could go on about ai all day- it used to be a helpful tool but now its more than a tool. people are using it as a crutch and its going to destroy us if it doesn't destroy the environment first
