About Me!

Hey There! 

I'm Arami, 25, she/they pronouns, and facing a weird transitional period. 

I am originally from Texas, but have moved to the North Island of NZ to study for my graduate degree and the journey has been ROUGH. 

So I would like to make a few friends <3! 

Here's some things about me: 

• I speak Spanish! My mom is originally from Paraguay, so I am very proud of my heritage and am trying to embrace it more than I did as a child. I love discussing my culture and perspective on growing up in a mixed-ethnicity family. :) I also can kinda speak Guarani, but I'm still learning!
• I love writing! I actually am working on a novel rn that I started recently! It's a southern gothic/horror/romance? Yeah! I also write fanfiction in my spare time, which you can check out on my Tumblr or A03! 
• I love physical media soooooo much. I have a collection of vinyl and a VHS of my favorite show (Over the Garden Wall). I want to start a collection of cassettes and VHS! 
• I am a maximalist to my core! I collect bug taxidermy, bones, uranium glass, tarot cards, crystals, and weird knick-knacks! I had to sell a large oddities collection before moving to NZ because of claims and whatnot, but I want to work on getting them back when I move back home! I also would like to start selling my own oddities artwork! 
• I have an INTENSE phobia of bugs? it's weird, I know, because I collect pinned (ethically) bugs and preserved bugs, but usually only ones that are moths or butterflies. Bugs TERRIFY me. 
• I love films! Especially animation! I can rant for days about my favorite movies. I also have a letterboxd if you ever wanna see it lol. 
• I am currently relearning who I am and trying to find new hobbies and crafts!
• I love monster romance books! 
• I love anything spooky and witchy...my happiest place is at a witchy market, looking at all the unique and spooky things
• I love sweets. I have a huge sweet tooth and love boba, candy, and desserts. 
• I stress bake sometimes and love cooking! 
• I may or may not be neurodiverse. My therapist suspects I am so pls understand that my brain may work a lil.. differently lol
• I am very shy and awkward
• I got married almost a year ago! Which is wild. My wife is such a goofball and lights up my day
• I am queer :)
• I am very into activism and caring about people and the environment! Basically, I am a southern leftist lol
