You ever find yourself sitting still, doing absolutely nothing, and somehow it feels like the most productive thing you've done all day? Yeah, me too.
In a world where everyoneβs racing to get somewhere, do something, or be someone, Iβve come to appreciate the fine art of doing absolutely nothing. No, not in a lazy, avoid-your-responsibilities kind of way, but more like embracing the quiet, the stillness, the rare moments when youβre not drowning in notifications, deadlines, or pressure.
Itβs funnyβpeople always talk about hustle culture, grinding 24/7, and never stopping. But have you ever noticed how you can burn out really quickly doing that? Maybe itβs just me, but sometimes, doing nothing is exactly whatβs needed to reset, recharge, and actually be more productive when you do start moving.
Iβm not saying you should drop everything and stare at the wall for hours (unless that's your thing, no judgment). But taking those moments of stillness can give you space to think, or not think at all. And that's kinda the point.
So, next time you feel guilty for sitting down without a to-do list in hand, maybe try embracing it. Because, sometimes, doing nothing is exactly what you need to do.
