Anybody else absolutely love dressing up however they want and doing mundane things like going to the store or walking around town? I can't explain it but there's literally nothing better than getting all dressed up and just walking to 7/11 or something. Extreme bonus points if you're walking with your friends! The only friend that actually lives in the same town as me is my brother, but sometimes when I'm over at my friends' houses we'll walk around and it's so fun! Oh yo actually that reminds me I get to see my brother later! He's gonna visit me at work! I'm so excited, I haven't seen him in literal months. We live in the same town, but like on opposite sides of town, so we almost never get to hang out cuz there's nothing to do in this town Xp
Honestly though, what's the deal with the lack of things to do? Like you always hear people who grew up in the 80s/90s talking about how they would hang out with their friends at restaurants or arcades or something, but there's just none of that anymore. Especially under 18 clubs! There were so many in the 90s, and they're just gone. Even the nearest mall is like a 30 minute drive down the highway. Like I wanna hang out with my friends irl!!! But all we get is cement flats and like 300 different buildings dedicated to 40 year old women who want their houses to look more grey and beige than should be legally safe. PLEASE JUST GIVE US LIKE AN ARCADE OR SOMETHING I'M BEGGING
Just one dine-in restaurant please please just give us somewhere to go or something to do
Sorry for that random rant lol, just been on my mind recently I guess
But anyway yeah my favourite thing to do is to put together an outfit that looks really cool and just go for a walk, like I don't really have anywhere to go, but wearing something that makes me happy and getting some fresh air can be enough sometimes. I guess there's a novelty shop I could go to, but I keep going broke from buying a bunch of cool clothes off of Depop TwT

Now that social media exists, there's much less of a need to physically go to recreational activities when you can just socialize and have fun all online. And I don't think that's gonna change for a very long time, if ever.
A sad truth, I'll say; I'd love to be walk distance from an arcade. :-(
And, on the subject of dressing up, I love dressing up whenever I go out! I'm trying to build up my closet of dagger-collar shirts and flared jeans so I have enough outfits to look awesome 7 days a week.

There's a Dave and Buster's pretty close by to me, but you can't walk in there alone if you're under 21 for some stupid reason, so unless I could convince some of my older friends to meet up with me there, I don't see the possibility of that being a viable hangout spot for the next almost 3 years of my life or so until August 2027.
Then of course, there's a John's Incredible Pizza an hour away by car (or about 3 hours by bus) that has a Guitar Hero machine there and kids as young as 13 can go there unsupervised, but due to how far away it is from my area as well as the cost (it costs like $50 total each visit between the price of admission and reloading the game card thing), I don't really go there that often, maybe once every few months or so during the weekend or school breaks.
Everything is overpriced, overly restricted, and far away these days. :(
