I had actually meant to post this poem on Friday but I ended up getting a bit busy throughout the day and i also went out to the grocery store (my fav place ever) and on Saturday I had just been a bit busy in general (hw and studying) but I was thinking today and I decided that I wouldn't post any poems on Friday and Saturday to focus on other stuff instead of poems. I was actually not really gonna post a poem this Sunday as ive been preparing for a friend's birthday (happy early bday swirl!) but in the end I decided to actually post a poem today!! I was also wondering if you guys would also like to see my sadder poems as I usually will post poems about things I find interesting or misunderstood but I do also love writing sad poems as I find them comforting so I was wondering if you guys would like to see those poems posted too!! :D
The poem I am posting is about rainy days and how even though many people might perceive them as gloomy or upsetting especially in writing as when someone says "gloomy weather" most people think of rainy weather which is normal as that is how it usually is described in writing but I wanted to write my poem about how this "gloomy weather" isn't all gloomy and might hold lots of memories and smiles and how different people and especially plants can benefit from this weather and its also a poem in appreciation of rain as it is actually one of my favorite types of weather especially that it doesn't rain that often in the area I live in making it a special and valuable time.
Watching the rain fall down the windowsill,
Kids running down the hill,
I lay in bed,
Next to the book I already read,
Many call this a gloomy morning,
Or even a time for mourning,
But it's so misunderstood,
There will always be so much good,
Plants excited for a drink,
All colours, yellow, blue, and pink
Trees waiting for droplets,
Smiling strangers outside, hands in pockets,
Collecting rain in the middle of markets,
Rivers finally being able to fill up,
Blossoming flowers covering the ground,
So many ignore what can easily be found,
Nature’s renewal,
River’s fuel,
Don't look down such an essential,
Without there is no potential,.

I love this! Rainy also happened to be my favourite weather because it makes me comfy especially since it's hot where I live. Ugh and the smell after rain? SO GOOD. (*´∀｀*)
tysmm!! and ikrr rain is srsly such a fun weather type and omg yess the smell after rain is literallyy soo gooddd!! :p
