A November ending

For me and my family it wasn't an easy month to deal with. That's how I could sum up November twenty twenty four. On the seventeenth of November my grandmother passed away at eighty five years old. She was terminally ill with cancer. A couple of months before I was being told she has ninety days to live. I was completely devastated hearing the news. All I could think about was family members who passed from cancer. Many people can relate to what I'm saying. Millions of people have been affected concerning cancer. It's awful to go through it. I thought of a particular early memory back in late nineteen ninety with my grandma and grandpa. This was a little before I started kindergarten. I remember quite a few times going into a win dixie supermarket with them. There was also an eckerd's pharmacy in that shopping plaza. I have a memory about that store as well. Grandma would hold my hand crossing the street to go to win dixie. It was nearby which is why we walked there instead of grandpa driving his car. My oldest sister were also with us sometimes. It's great and fun memories I think of. Most of all I will miss speaking with grandma. I went to my grandmother's funeral service several hours ago. My mom, sisters, brother and nephew attended grandma's service. My cousin and I both wrote a poem for her. Also another cousin of ours minister at the service. I thought he did great. I also spoken with aunts and uncles. It's great to see family on many other occasions. Today we were remembering grandma. I had so many memories with grandma and grandpa. May they both rest in peace. For thanksgiving day I spend the day with my mom, sisters and nephew. My brother called earlier that day. We cooked turkey, spare ribs, herb stuffing, collard greens with macaroni and cheese. I also had cranberry juice to drink along with water. For dessert we had pumpkin pie and apple pie. I hope for those who celebrate thanksgiving had a great day. Currently I'm relaxing for a couple of hours. I plan to get some sleep as well. I hope for the best next month. It's also the holiday season. It will be the final month of twenty twenty four.
