[To Be By Yourself]

Self-perception is a subject that is often highlighted in any conversation. You could be talking about how you want to dress up to your friends, and how you would like to be perceived. You could have a ton of social media accounts behind different personas and no one would bat an eye. I feel like that's one of the best things about the Internet. You could go anywhere and you could be anyone.

But when there are so many versions of you, then you can't help but wonder, which one is truly you? I think that's one of the things that I found myself having troubles with at one point. 

You could look at yourself in the mirror and find that you look rather attractive, but the moment you try to take a selfie, everything looks off with you. I think that's one thing. I don't think I'd like to be perceived in photographs. Actually, I don't think people should see themselves as often as we are currently able to. Maybe all that we're meant to see of ourselves is through puddles or broken glasses. Or portraits.

I love portraits, I love it whenever someone draws me because it shows me how they see me. I think that's how I'd like to be perceived the most.
