Hey, so I have seen a ton of furry hate over the internet and I was wondering if someone could explain why furrys have such a bad reputation over the internet? I mean there just people who dress up in animal suits as their furry ocs or get premade ones that cost them atleast millions or hundreds of dollars. I just wanted to know the backstory of how they got all this hate? thx for reading! <3

people tend to think that being a furry is equivalent to being a zoophile (being attracted to animals.) i don't know where that logic comes from because dressing up as something doesn't make you attracted to it... some people also hate because they think it's unnatural to "want to be an animal." i don't think many furries actually want to become animals, but rather want to have fun dressing up as them. it's just like how other people dress up for halloween or cosplay, but y'know. people have wild logic. i'm not a furry myself but i know a few, and those are the only real coherent reasons i've managed to get from people that don't like them. anyway hope that answers your question!!
