ADHD & Gaming

I know I'm not the only one, but I gotta know how other people with ADHD or anything else deal with gaming. I can play a game for 4 hrs straight each day for like a week straight, but the moment I skip a day or don't play as long, I immediately stop touching that game for months. I've had Elden Ring, Lies of P, Cyberpunk, Potionomics, Fallout, Skyrim, that stuff, but I have to play it almost constantly or else I risk the chance of losing interest. Even with ADHD meds and loads of free-time, I avoid games as if they were the most boring and uninteresting things on the planet.

Idk if it actually is just adhd or maybe just how I interact with games, but it seems somewhat consistent across the people I know with it. But it also could just be little aspects of adhd rather than full-blown disorder... but best of luck kicking these roadblocks' butts though!

Hey. I do the same. If you have friends who plays the same games, for example a multiplayer one, they can ask you to hop on said game with them. With solo games, you can ask eachother about progress and discuss how it's going so far.

If you don't have friends into the same games as you, or that aren't the type to remind you about them, then there's online communities for each and every game. Try finding people there. Hope this helped.

Thank you! Even if I meant this to just be a "hey, here's a thing I do" post, you got some good pointers! I'll make sure to use them, so thanks!
