daily card pull & dice roll!!!
so, today i rolled Aquarius Mars in the 1st House. let's break it down:
Aquarius is the fixed air sign, known for it's aloofness and idea generation. as an air sign, Aquarius is oriented towards its thoughts, ideas, and logic and processes the world around it using these tools. as a fixed sign, Aquarius prefers to build outwards or forwards rather than up -- it is very self reliant and needs alone time to process any struggles. one thing about fixed signs is that they are slow and steady, generating consistently and quietly while taking in their surroundings -- Aquarius is no different. this can also be seen in how a fixed sign "snaps" after being pushed between a rock and a hard place for too long.
Mars is the planet of action, energy, and bravery. while being channeled through Aquarius, this can be seen as dominating communal conversations or taking the lead during discussions. Mars wants to move, there's not much else to it! however, Mars is still a malefic planet, so it's influence can come across negatively. we might not understand when to be quiet with this placement, and struggle with talking over others. it's best practice to listen more than you speak when it groups of more than two!
the 1st House is the house of self, identification, and the conditions of birth. that last part can be literal or metaphorical -- the conditions of any birth that you experience within yourself. with Aquarius in the 1st, the host might identify themselves with their ideas and accomplishments, likely hanging onto their uniqueness with a desire to change the world with it. this is a host who knows that they're meant to change lives. with Mars here, this can channel through the physical body, and this person might have song lyrics tattooed on them! with Mars representing the physical body and being channeled through the element of thought, there could be some struggles with the intensity of thought. the host might feel as though they're pushed into situations where they need to use their body way before they've decided whether its logical or worth their energy. on the flip side, they might even bypass logic when they feel as though they've been wronged and end up in physical fights.
The lesson with this placement is not to identify yourself with your rage, and instead to spend some time deciding who you want to be known as -- is it for courage? for ideas? for justice? Aquarius is a sign who feels very strongly about whats right, but try not to overpower your logic when your emotions run high, a blend is always best!
for the King of Wands with the 7 of pentacles reversed on the bottom of the deck
the way i read my daily card pulls is as follows: the card i pulled is conscious energy, the card on the bottom is subconscious energy
the King of Wands is a visionary; a passionate leader with the energy and decisiveness to implement his big picture. when this card is pulled, i always imagine a big man with a bigger laugh. the King of Wands is jovial in nature, loving his kingdom and having the awareness to reach into the future and mold it the way he intends. this is your conscious energy today - optimistic and making waves for positive change!
the 7 of pentacles is a patient, dedicated farmer growing his crops as the harvest nears. when reversed, this patience can become upset. maybe yesterday was a busy day, you went to bed late or had to take on an early morning task. whatever the reason is, things are just not getting done today. patience becomes procrastination, a nearing harvest becomes fruitless, dedication becomes a lack of effort. not every day can be the most productive day -- be kind to yourself and give yourself the time and space to recharge.
anyway -- have a good day!! :3
