Today was incredibly slow and boring, just like yesterday and the day before. I’d love to plan something fun with my friends, maybe go out somewhere, but I don’t have enough money or motivation. I reeeaaally hope this dull streak ends soon. Also, I’ve been having weird dreams lately, (´・_・`) huh..
About the gala—honestly, I think it went well! I had this small worry about a friend who didn’t want to go at all, but it was really nice seeing him enjoy it as the night went on. (If you’re reading this, I’m still sorry about spilling tomato and other food on your suit!! I wanted to die SO bad, I apologized like a million times!)
It started with everyone gathering in this sort of “lobby” area (is that what it’s called? idk??), where they had drinks—like soda or alcohol—and little snacks. Then, we lined up and went into the main hall where our parents were waiting. They showed a video about our entire generation, filled with all kinds of moments and motivational stuff. It was sweet and funny, honestly. One thing that stood out? Our uniforms are this super dark royal blue, so everyone blended in perfectly… except me. My bright red hair and whole aesthetic were so easy to spot. It felt like being a tiny pimple on someone’s otherwise perfect face (≧▽≦).
After that, we had dinner: an appetizer, the main course, and dessert. The only thing I liked was the appetizer. Why is this always the case?? Then they handed out silly awards, like “always late” or “most responsible,” and little diplomas. It was lighthearted and fun!
Finally, the real party began. The music was a bit too loud, and my ears kinda hurt, but it was still enjoyable. My mom stayed with me the whole time (I love you, Mommaaaaaa ). She even invited me to try my first drink. I was super nervous at first, but I went for it. It wasn’t bad, but wow, the alcohol completely ruined the flavor. And… I didn’t know you’re supposed to drink it slowly (ಥ-ಥ). I chugged it down, and by the last sip, I almost gagged. WHY DOES IT TASTE SO BAD??!! And because I’m an idiot, I grabbed another bottle. A friend told me I was wobbling and walking funny. UH… never again..
Later, I danced with my friends. They were super funny and cool on the dance floor. Me? Not so much. But hey, I tried! I also had a waltz with my dad, and even though I’m terrible at dancing, it felt special..( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
After a few hours, I went home, took off my makeup, and went straight to bed. Overall, it was a good celebration—kinda weird at times, but still nice!! (´ω`★).
