Honestly, just look around the site's navigation bar up top, there's your main forms of communication. Most namely:
Blog: The most active of the bunch. Check out Recent Entries for the most current activity and posts, since Top Entries only weekly gets refreshed.
Groups: Depending on the group's member count, it can be active. Activity here consists of forum topics and bulletins (temporary blog posts, in a sense).
Forum: Maybe the least active (from my experience). It's nice to see people's comments there, though.
