rave planning pt2: crackhead engineering

if you didnt read my last blog post heres the tldr: my rave org got put in charge of an event happening next month at an abandoned warehouse. here im documenting the planning process 

we finally got a break in the rain to check out the warehouse test out some new strobes. this place might be even larger than i remember it being. its covered in awesome graph with AMAZING acoustics. its so fucking beautiful even at night. we dont have the key to the gate (yet) so we had to squeeze the generator and the rest of our equipment thru a small ass hole in the fence 

while sc3n3slvt (dj, organizer, professional dipshit) and i swapped electro industrial recommendations, our tech guy got the strobes hooked up to the generator. we got everything set up but for some reason the strobes werent working……. 

deniz (tech guy) and luna (sc3n3slvts nerd friend) figured out it was some problem with the generator. after some tinkering they figured out they might be able to jump start the generator with some shit from sc3n3slvts car. after jerry-riging the most jank ass shit ive ever seen with a scavenged power strip and some copper wire it ultimately…. did not work! but we stole some traffic cones and saw a deer on the drive to jack in the box, so thats something. 

we ended up just testing the lights back at denizs house. just the strobes alone were so amazing. like why does anybody even do drugs? just blast a color changing strobe in your face for 2 hrs it will feel just as good

were gonna go back to the warehouse in a couple days to test the strobes for real and clean the place up since the last people who threw there left a million cardboard boxes all over the place for some fucking reason. i actually cant fucking wait to see the strobes in the warehouse. that shit will be fucking orgasmic. ill update this post with pics if/when i have them
