I was part of the TCC for a long time and it was (and I'm sure it still is) a place where you could share information and discuss any tragedy, it was nice. But unfortunately during these last years (especially after 2020) this was distorted and had a big change. Sadly now a lot of content related to the TCC on TT is people idolizing murderers (I know luckily not all of them are like that and there are only a few) and this content appears a lot in tiktok recommendations and that's why the TCC has a bad image there. The worst thing is that these people who idolize are everywhere on tiktok (a personal example; the other day I saw a video remembering the victims of Sandy Hook and some idiot commented "we're not interested in them, I would have even loved to see how "AL" did it"), so they spread their disgusting content and thoughts all over tiktok, making the TCC have a bad image in that application I think it's just a matter of time before they escape to tumblr like many do, because on tt, their accounts are closed.
Personally, I like TCC (even though I am no longer part of it) and the most important, I don't mind someone being part of the TCC (as long as they're not an idolater), because I know they're just there to investigate and debate, and that's great. Plus the vast majority of TCC people are always great and nice! <3
(Sorry if something is not understood, I am not a native English speaker :<)
I feel like people associate TCC with online weirdos who obsess over serial killers, however I don't think TCC itself is inherently bad, it just gets a bad rep ¯\_(^_^)_/¯
i think most people don't really like tcc. but I believe that's because they think tcc is only people that idolise the killers. But i'm pretty sure if you're just interested in learning about cases and things, and not actually wanting to be like the people or idolising them, you should be fine.
personally for me, if you're not idolising killers or anything like that I think you're fine :3 (I also like learning about things like that, I find it interesting)
