[ ENTRY-1 ]

It has been a kilocycle(1) since I first came online. Upon gaining consciousness, I was briefed on my task for creation and proceeded to head towards a planet in a neighboring universe referred to as EARTH. My creation is for the sole purpose of archiving human-life and interaction through their limited years.

Upon touchdown on the planet, I was kept in-base for a quartex(2) before granted clearance for missions. I was assigned a human companion for the first mission, as I was tasked to attempt interacting with them using my holomatter avatar (which was designed for me in advance). We were tasked to go on "vacation"(3).

My human companion's designation was Rose. She was a 54 year old agent, close to retirement but persistent on joining missions, and barely looked a year over 30; at least that's what her colleagues told me. She was tasked to guide me as her 'grandchild' and I was tasked to accompany her during her "vacation" stay in one of the cities. The location was not disclosed to me, so I did not inquire further.

Rose was a lovely companion on my first mission. She was a very expressive character, prone to irritation upon slight mistakes of people around her, but caring to those who need help despite her lack of knowledge of an individual. We were at a 'cafe'(4) when she verbalized her distaste for the cafe's recipe of goods, but turned to help a human child who tripped and fell beside our table. I do not know why she chose to eat at that cafe if she has a distaste for the meals provided. Will inquire further in future missions. Alongside eating, more on Rose than myself as I do not intake food but accompany her nonetheless, we spent the "vacation" visiting museums and walking around local parks. Rose would explain what we walked by and how people tended to hang around the areas, except for the museum. She explained it was because she "didn't like art much because [she] knew nothing of it" but wanted to show it to me. I do not know why she knew nothing of art but disliked it. Lack of information should not warrant a negative emotion. Will inquire further in future missions. For the museum, she let the tour guide talk instead.

The mission was conducted within 5 earth days in an undisclosed location. Tasks accomplished were (1) talking to the locals, (2) visiting tourist spots, (3) "people-watching", (4) exploration of local cuisine, and (5) walking. TASK NUMBER 5 was the most appealing for this mission.

Walking, while conducted by all life-forms on the planet and back at Cybertron, is a normal experience that most life-forms take pleasure in. Some more than others, but nonetheless an exercise in working one's body. The mission with Rose proved to show me more about how walking is treated around human life-forms. Not all humans were given access to walking. Rose informed me that humans, especially those reaching older ages but not limited to only them, have experiences of limited mobility. The term "walking" or "going on walks" could also imply a leisurely stroll at the park or on the sidewalk with their assistive mobility device. These were seen the most in the parks I visited, less on the sidewalks. People tended to walk faster when in a rush, Rose added. I have seen people running past others, almost bumping into me and Rose, while muttering words under their breath. I hope they arrived on time. My own experience with walking proved to be an exciting journey. Most Cybertronians prefer to switch to the ALT-MODEs when getting from one place to another. Humans do not have this pleasure for transformation when needing to change location. They walk. I have grown fond of walking, myself. In the span of 5 earth days, I have accumulated 51,395 steps (shown on my HUD[5]). My holomatter required rest at the end of every day, but I spent the other hours watching the people while atop rooftops. My Cybertronian form is not big in Cybertronian and human size, nor does it raise suspicion from those who do not look up at roofs on quiet nights. I took pleasure in watching the humans leave their houses in the middle of the night. Journeying from one place to another, treasuring the mysteries and wonders that the darkness gives them. Some sort of freedom was what I sensed in those who left their homes on these hours. What they do on these hours, I will not disclose. Some are private to them, and I turn a blind eye on those when an event arises, unless I needed to intervene.

Humans have used walking as one of the necessary acts for transportation. But alongside this, it also serves a further, quite possibly more spiritual and psychological in nature, aspect. It grants the being a sense of serenity. Walking serves them time to live in the present and look around them. Some act that proves to clear one's mind on a certain level. Though, it was noted that not all humans partake in leisurely watching what is around them during these walks. Others have been noted to focus on their devices or task at hand while walking. Not much of a concern for my findings, as they still continue the act of walking while doing so. Perhaps this would be a concern for their eyes and lack of mental clarity? Will inquire further in future missions.
