pfp isnt working chat

guys. everytime i try to change my pfp to a differnt image it keeps saying i never uploaded a picture when i absolutely just did and it WONT CHANGE. i tried taking off the spinning cd thing and fdoing it and it STILL WONT CHANGE. the image is the right type (.png/.jpg) but it WONT DO ANYTHING what do i do.
