Corazón Luchador!!

A sculpture I did!!! My professor was making an event with the fashion design people and she wanted us multimedia designers to participate too!!! For full context, you just need to know that i live in Mexico and im studying here too!! 

My professor had us make heart sculptures, representing the hearts, people and culture of Mexico!!! I based mine on sports, specifically wrestling, that originated from Mexico called Lucha Libres (Freestlye Wrestling)! I based mine of a famous and classic luchador called Blue Demon!! Luchadores are like normal wrestlers but they have a mask on, hiding there identity, which is the most important thing they value!! without their mask, they are a nobody! They sometimes bet their masks in matches, with the loser removing their mask!

 I had a lot of fun making it! it took me 3 weeks to make it!! My friend did help me tho, seeing as she had experience modeling with clay! its made out of clay, moldable foam and acrylic paints!
