hello all!! here are some poems from the past few months that i have never shared before but that i appreciate so.. enjoy!! im trying to get back into writing but its been really hard to find motivation lately so. this is me trying to do that. lmk wat u think

"carousel" - 11/22/24

the carousel runs eternal

with its disruptive lights and constant circles.

it seems inconvenient to take a spin,

but i have no choice as i'm forced in.

so round and round i go

my horse unsteady, the pacing slow.

each time i make one pass,

i scrape my foot on shards of glass.

at first, i'm not bothered much

but the pain starts to build up.

lingering blood takes over my vision

and there's nothing to do: i am stuck in this prison.

the wounds pile up, all gushing blood

as i sit and i pray for any type of love.

nothing ever comes; my efforts bear no fruit.

im stuck on the carousel; trapped in a deadly loop.

fear

fear running through me like rabbits scarcely escaping teeth

their feet drum a melody in my chest

that is womanhood

conditioning me with lashing whips

shrinking in the presence of men

"mama bird" - 3/3/24

perched over you

like a mama bird

i am reduced to my extremities.

poised just like a mama bird

my mouth is open

but never is it empty. 

crowing like a mama bird

i spill my fill

for ive had plenty.

robbed just like a mama bird

i cry my tears

let my face get messy.

away just like a mama bird

i keep my secrets

so you dont resent me.
