Wanna Play Games like Project Diva or Super Monkey Ball on ur Mac?

Hey, if you happen to have a MacBook, and wanna emulate games on it, this is the post 4 u!

First off, what is an emulator?

Basically, an emulator is a hardware or software that lets you run programs meant for a different operating system onto another! I'm pretty new to it myself, and I am by no means an expert, but I can offer resources!

Video Game emulators, for example, are super popular! Emulators like Dolphin (Nintendo Wii emulator for PC and mac) and RetroArch are wonderful for Mac as well, but I've personally only used Openemu for its simplicity. That being said Openemu isn't a comprehensive emulator like retroarch, but it's much simpler! You can emulate a lot of game consoles from your Mac, like the DS, Nintendo 64, PSP, etc

 What You'll Need!

Openemu tips:

Openemu itself is pretty self-explanatory once you have it downloaded, but a few things will pop up when trying to download it.
First off, when you download it, you need to make sure to go to Privacy and Security in Settings and allow Openemu to download on your computer
Second, you need to go to Input Monitoring in Privacy and Security as well, as to use the controls within Openemu you need to make sure you click allow!
Once you've done this, you're pretty much done!

You might be asking why you need the Unarchiver:

When downloading games from cdromance, or your website of choice, unzipping the files for certain games is not possible! The unarchiver makes it so you basically open ANY zipped file regardless of the extension!
Once you've unzipped the file, you can basically just drop it in Openemu and play your game! Just be mindful of any consoles not supported on Openemu (like the Wii or ps2 for example)

Games!!!
CDromance is the website I download all my games from! Its super easy to navigate and you can find anything from games, rom-hacks or even skins (if you have a physical console, like the PSP this is a pretty neat thing to have!)

Overall, I hope this post helps, and encourages you to look more into emulation. As a college student who doesn't have the funds to go out and buy a console, especially older ones, this is the next best thing for me! Of course, when you can, please support the of developers!
Some games I'm playing:

Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend para PSP | 3DJuegos
