I'm Tired of Social Media

So I've made a spacehey account- hey. At this point I've limited my app use to 1 hour a day and I'm hoping to limit internet use to my desktop computer completely. Using this site is my next step. I am at an interesting age where I didn't have internet in my house until I was in 1st grade. I mostly played neopets and we didn't have wifi for a couple years later. Of course I didn't have a smartphone until I was in high school, and the experience was still very different from today. At that time I used Tumblr and Pinterest and listened to music.

I spent years of my life I'll never get back doing unpaid labor for social media companies- all the while frying my brain and neglecting my favorite hobbies. Along with the app limits I'm also contemplating getting the Cell2Jack so I can route my phone calls to a landline and stop using my cell phone at home altogether. Unfortunately things cost money. I tried the whole dumbphone thing but I do need my smartphone for some things. I'll continue to update my blog as these things develop. If you're into retro tech, video games, and analog media, let's be friends!
