relate to this song so much (minus the wife and children part - but
it's the sentiment of promising your loved ones/family/friends, etc).
The whole album is really good, and it's in heavy rotation for me right now.
I'm
three whole weeks sober today and I feel great. Every day it gets easier. My desire to drink is mostly gone, though it pops up from time to
time. I find myself looking forward to doing other things now - things
like grocery shopping on Saturday night, taking care of my plants, reading, and playing video games with
Ted. (We're busting out the SNES today!)
Anyway, just a little update from me. I'm doing well. I'm happy and secure. I feel better than I have in a long time.

I'm a weekend drinker and just passed my 2nd weekend with no alcohol. For some reason it's easier during the week cause it "feels wrong"
but weekends are hard because I am able to be hungover and feel like shit cause it's the weekend! The fun of alcohol is so short and if I go overboard the hanxiety can last for over a week! That's what I have to think about when I want to drink- the feel good to-not feel good ratio is not worth it. Great job Cindy! I'm sure you are feeling a lot more productive these days
You're so right about that! It just isn't worth it - at all. I'm feeling so much better without it, and actually have time for my hobbies again. Congrats to you on two weekends! That's awesome! 🖤

Thank you! I just got Chrono Trigger, which is one of my favorite games of all time! I'm so excited! We also have Mortal Combat II, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong, and Donkey Kong Country. I want to work on building my collection of games because it's my favorite console too!
