Felix Nmecha was average on the night but earned his first international goal in his first international start.

Halftime Observations
Not nearly as much fun to watch without Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.
Serge Gnabry has no business being on the national team, even in throwaway matches.
Nübel looks a lot more comfortable than his first international match (last month against Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Halftime: 0-0 at the midway point. Germany controlling possession, but Hungary has created the better chances.
39’: Alexander Nübel with another big save! Zsolt Nagy’s volley not enough to beat the Bayern Munich loanee.
30’: Benjamin Henrichs’ free kick barely goes over the crossbar.
24’: Alexander Nübel makes a big save!
19’: Barnabás Varga registers Hungary’s first shot of the match.
12’: First shot of the match! Quick turnover, but Serge Gnabry hits it wide.
10’: One foul, zero shots. Germany dominating possession (80%).
3’: Musiala would have scored by now...
1’: Here we goooo!!!
Heavy squad rotation from Julian Naglesmann, but captain Joshua Kimmich refuses to be benched.
After the 7-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday, Germany has already clinched first place in Group A3 of the UEFA Nations League.
Julian Naglesmann has this team humming and will want to replicate the 5-0 victory against Hungary back in September.
