REAL. Like I absolutely encourage people to believe in what they want and dress how they want, but don't voluntarily categorize yourself with a community if you just "fit the aesthetic".
"Conservative Goths" are just people who "look alternative" but don't identify with any of the beliefs, lifestyles, or music tbh. It's problematic because people who Identify as that usually profit off of commodifying alternative spaces.
EXACTLY!! And whenever they get called out for it they continue to call themselves goth even though they know deep down they were wrong because they’re afraid of being shamed LOL „To all the backlash.. Don’t care! Goth 4 life!” roughly translates to „I’m scared to admit my wrongs”
